MY STORY

Golf has been a part of my life since I was in middle school. My father’s encouragement towards me playing golf and access to army golf courses were the main reasons I got into the sport. I continued with my education and only after I graduated to become a qualified Electronics and Communication Engineer did I decide to pursue my career in Professional Golf.

After playing on the Professional Golf Tour of India for three years I decided to transition into the business of golf. I headed a project as Director of Operations for several years. During this period, I continued to train students and get my certifications to become a qualified golf teaching professional from the National Golf Academy of India. Over the last few years I have taken up golf training full time.

MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY

I believe every lesson needs to focus on at least one of the three fundamentals in golf – Contact point, Dispersion of the golf ball in the air and Power generated in a golf swing. After watching my students hit balls and discussing their pain points, I go about setting a plan in motion that helps them improve. There are no quick fixes or one solution to all problems but only specific drills that achieve measurable and visual results. My students are free to ask any questions so that they become more knowledgable about what and why they are working on something.

I work a lot with video analysis as this again reconfirms the observations made. All of the student’s “before” and “after” videos along with the lesson notes and drill videos are made accessible to the player. This enables them to see the improvements made and also practice correctly on their own. My students can reach out to me anytime from anywhere virtually.

While the game is not easy I ensure that my students stay motivated and keep challenging themselves to get better. They also have a lot of fun learning and playing the game.
